Czech Healthcare Reforms Series 5 - What is Free for Adult Females?

Every two years a free preventative health check for everyone – at the age of 30 everyone has cholesterol, lipids.  At age 19 and from 40 every two years, glucose tolerance will be tested.  From age 50 - 54 everyone will be tested once for rectal bleeding.  From age 55 everyone can opt to have either a screening colonoscopy every 10 years or a bi-annual rectal bleeding test – and females includes breast examination from aged 25 if there is a history of breast cancer and from 45 years of age every woman has a free mammogram every two years.

Women are also entitled to annual GP gynaecological preventative examinations which include clinical examination of breast at age 15.  If a family history exists then again at 25 years and every two years thereafter.  From age 45 all women are entitled to a mammogram every two years as part of this check-up.
