Selective add-ons such as different prostheses, a better or private room or menu can be paid in addition to the co-payment but the standard element of the cost is included.
You will be able to pay the difference between the standard and extras which are deemed to be above the standard level of care. For example, if you want a better prosthesis you pay the difference. At present the list is limited because there will be a consultation period to establish the standards and what is included within them. This list will be under constant review and will constantly change and be fluid. The body responsible for establishing this list of standards will be similar to the NICE body of the UK.
